Labrador runs along the Broadwater between Southport and Biggera Waters. There's a long stretch of parkland on the foreshore, a lot of unit blocks, older homes in the streets behind, and shops and cafés around Frank Street.

Older homes and unit blocks tend to have more cockroaches, both the big ones in roofs and walls and the small German ones in kitchens. Being close to the water, rats are common too, and the warm, humid weather keeps ants busy all year.

The older homes in the back streets often have big gardens and mature trees, which give rats and spiders easy access to the roof. Unit blocks along the foreshore have their own problems, mostly German cockroaches spreading through shared walls, pipes and bin rooms.
